Coaches are asked, if appropriate and to extent information is available, to accommodate school programs in scheduling pitching during the regular season. This rule shall not be applied retroactively, for example, if a pitcher pitches 7 innings in a weekend for a Babe Ruth team and subsequently, pitches more than 3 innings for another team, the Babe Ruth team will not be treated as violating the rule.

  1. Mandatory 2 full day rest after pitching more than 3 innings in 1 calendar day regardless of league. Example: if a player pitches 4 innings on Saturday, he cannot pitch until Tuesday of the following week. Reminder: 1 pitch in a given inning constitutes a pitched inning.

  1. All bats, wood, metal or composite, are limited to a maximum length/weight differential of minus 3.

Player rotation can only occur in the field and not in the batting lineup.

Substitute Managers

In the event that a manager is not be able to attend a scheduled practice and/or game, only his/her Board-approved coaches may substitute as manager.  In the event that no Board-approved coach is available, the manager must coordinate with the League Director to arrange for a Board-approved coach to take over for that game and/or practice.  It is ultimately the responsibility of the League Director to make his best effort to find approved coaches to cover games so that the players are not penalized by a game cancellation.

In no instance may the manager independently authorize a non-Board-approved coach to take over in his/her absence.
