Rules
- All
players will bat in the batting order1
- Each
player must play at least three (3) innings in field with free
substitution1
- For
the first six (6) games of the season, the dimensions of the field shall be
modified. The distance between
bases will be eighty feet (80’), and the pitching mound will be fifty-four
feet (54’) from home plate.
Thereafter the dimensions of the field and pitching mound will be
the same as major league baseball.
- Pitchers
can only pitch seven (7) innings per week (Monday through Sunday). One pitch will constitute an
inning. Violation of this rule
will constitute forfeiture of the game.
- The
hidden ball trick will not be allowed and base runners will be required to
slide or avoid contact with the fielder.
- Games
of the first half of the season (five (5) games) will be six (6) innings
and thereafter will be seven (7) innings.
- Except
as herein above modified, all other Major League rules shall apply
- An
official game, for games called due to darkness or inclement weather,
shall be three and one-half (3 ½) innings in the event the home team is
leading, or four (4) innings if the visiting team is leading.
- All
tied games must be completed. If
not completed by the end of the regular season, both teams will be
credited with a loss.
- All
games begin promptly at 5:30pm.
- Managers
and coaches may coach from the third or first base coaches’ boxes during a
regulation game.
